Fill your cup, connect to your inner strength and let the power of the sacred remind you of who you really are.

All around the world, since time immemorial, people have received direct messages from nature to guide their own lives. We are in an era where humans must re-learn how to cultivate inner silence to receive these messages so we can partner with nature. Ritual and ceremony provides spiritual nourishment to commune with the living world, metabolize emotions, connect with timeless wisdom and grow together as community.

Nature includes the world behind this world.

In this nourishing weekend you will experience how the Sacred Order of All Things speaks to us - through us. You will connect to your body’s wisdom and innate power through ritual and plant spirit medicine. You will awaken your inner wise seer.

This is a full-bodied weekend in Nature where you will learn refined sensory awareness, how to create sacred space, honour the sacred through ritual skills and embodiment, build energy, strengthen your intuition, and meet herbal allies that will guide you in finding the answer to the big questions you carry in your heart.

Plants are a living bridge to the Otherworld forging a dynamic channel of communication between the seen and unseen. When we open ourselves to the green world in an intentional way our subtle body becomes receptive and our nervous system is re-educated to receive the wisdom and insight of a greater intelligence.

We will enter into the holy conversation between all things.

*We do not work with psychoactive plants. Those who practice sobriety are welcome here.

The Foundations of Magic

These teachings are informed by Seraphina's 25 years as a teacher in the sacred arts. She would like to give special thanks to her 10+ years apprenticeship in Toltec Wisdom which began in New Mexico in the year 2000, her training and initiation in Reclaiming Witchcraft beginning in 2002, and her herbal studies that began with her grandparents in childhood, and more formal studies which began at Emerson College of Herbology in 1998.

About the word Witch: We understand this word is loaded and has a history of negative connotations. However, we reclaim this word as its original meaning of healer, wise-one, one who is connected to the land and serves to protect it, and knows how to enter the conversation between all things, seen and unseen.

Creating a sacred container on the land for this weekend, we view this weekend immersion as an opportunity to unplug, and go deep with the land in ritual space.

This is a non-residential intensive. There are plenty of campsites and rental accommodations on Salt Spring that you can easily find on the internet. We recommend you reserve your accommodations and review the ferry schedule to ensure you can attend the weekend. Salt Spring is about 4-hours from Vancouver, BC. Because ferry waits are long, we recommend arriving the day before.

This class will take place outdoors in nature.  This class is open to everyone over the age of 18.
More details are sent upon registration in regards to the exact location.

To maintain the integrity of the strong circle we will create together, participants are asked to attend the whole weekend.

This class is the foundation and pre-requisite for all other magical classes

ABOUT SERAPHINA

Seraphina Capranos (she/her) is a clinical herbalist, homeopath, and initiated priestess with a practice spanning over two decades.

At the age of 14, Seraphina began learning alchemical practices from shamanic practitioners she met through fated circumstance. From the age of 16 until age 18 she apprenticed with a medical intuitive, Elizabeth Hammond. Then, embarked on the priestess path in 1998 into which she was initiated in 2016 through the Reclaiming Tradition. Like many cast onto the path of healing and spiritual training, it was pain and suffering that led her into the forest to seek answers to life’s big questions. First, it was an injury that left her bedridden with debilitating pain as a teenager, and just a few years later, the intractable disease then the sudden tragic death of her beloved father which set her on a spiritual quest all before 21 years old.  She spent ten years in a Toltec apprenticeship, which radically shifted her perceptional world and helped shape her worldview as one deeply connected to the earth. She has taught thousands of students and has held countless circles, classes, rituals and ceremonies for groups as large as 300. With a practice spanning two decades, she is now a sought-after international teacher and speaker. Her greatest teachers, as always, are the students and patients with whom she is grateful to work with. She is continually in awe of the strength of the human spirit. Regarded as a 'teachers teacher' her unique blend of gifts straddle the vast worlds of plant medicine, homeopathy, and ritual and ceremonial magic. She is known for her heart-centered, generous teaching style that speaks to multiple ways of learning.

She would like to honour and thank the many teachers who have influenced the teacher and practitioner she is today: Elizabeth Hammond, Blade, Starhawk, Rose May Dance, Liz Forrest, Susun Weed, Willow Kelly, Urania Griffith, Robert Birch, Gwydion Logan, Suzanne Sterling, Rosemary Gladstar, Dr. Aviva Romm, MD, Amanda McQuade Crawford, RJ Stewart.
